The United Kingdom is quite expensive, especially England, in terms of accommodation, transport, etc. However one can find budget hotels and also avail of buses, which are cheaper transport means. In London backpackers can survive on forty pounds a day. In shoestring budgets one can do with 30 pounds a day around the United Kingdom. Despite the United Kingdom being relatively expensive one can get through with a reasonable budget.
